  7. Each team must be under the charge of a teacher, child care worker, staff assistant, community school coordinator, vice principal, principal, or other education staff approved by the Principal from its own school.  Failure to observe this ruling shall result in forfeiture of the game.
  8. 11. Any team that fails to take the field within 15 minutes of the time appointed shall forfeit the game provided the opposing team is ready within that time.  If a team is unable to play a scheduled game, they must contact the school involved by 14:00 hours of the day of the game or forfeit the game.  The Executive shall rule upon the validity of extenuating circumstances.

  16. All players will receive an equal share of playing time (per game) as is possible.
  17. A playoff shall be of one game duration unless both coaches and the league chairperson agree to play 2 out of 3 games, and providing that such arrangements shall not delay other scheduled playoff games.  In volleyball, 2 out of 3 games shall constitute a match.  Zones may also be decided by round robin tournaments.

The B.C. School Act states that all (public) schools and Provincial schools must be conducted on strictly secular and non-sectarian principles.   The Vancouver School District plans its athletic events around Ministry required instruction days, statutory holidays, Pro D days, various other school events and the weather.  We make every effort to accommodate schools’ and district calendars to make these events as accessible as possible to all students.  Given all other constraints we are not always able to plan our events around the various religious holidays that families may observe on their own.  All extra-curricular sports activities and events are voluntary and not required by the school.
